A visit at the science center and technology museum “Noesis”.

Our school,  the 8th Junior High School of Thessaloniki, visited the science center and technology museum “Noesis”. 
During our visit we watched a 3D film about Dinosaurs  and a presentation about the Creation of the universe.

Independence Day, Poland

On 11th November Poland celebrates National Independence Day.It is a public holiday to commemorate the anniversary of regaining independence after 123 years of partitions between Prussia, Russia and Austria. Polish Independence Day is connected with general Józef Piłsudski. 11th November is the day the Regency Council appointed him Commander-in-Chief of Polish forces. The Indepence Day was constituted in 1937 and was a national holiday in the inter-war Poland. After the World War II the holiday was repudiated. In 1989 the 11th November was re-established as the National Independence Day.

31 October in Gimnazjum nr 14, Ruda Śląska (Poland)

1st November Poland

1st November is All Saints Day and on this day we visit cemeteries and pray. A few years ago an idea appeared to do something good for suffering people on this day. Students of schools in Ruda Śląska cooperate with the hopspice in our city. We collect money at the entrance to the cemeteries and the money is given to the hospice. All Saints Day seems to be a good occassion to help those who are ill, who suffer.
