The end of Carnival, the beginning of Lent
These days are a good time to compare pur traditions and celebrations. The tradition of carnival is not as deeply celebrated in Poland as it is for example in Italy. Our traditions invplve Fat Thursday and shrove Tuesday (in Poland celebrated as "śledź" (a herring day). it is a deeply rooted tradition related to the fact that with lent meat was replaced by fosh (herring).
