Municipal Museum of History Rosiorii the Vede began operations towards the end 1965, by making permanent exhibition ,,Peasant uprising of 1907”. This museum was the result of a happy initiative of a group of intellectuals: Professor Petrica Voivozeanu, Professor Florea Costache, Professor Anastasie Stirbu, Colonel Ion Mailaf. Older collections have been mentioned in writing from 1940, of the great historian Nicolae Iorga. Following the reorganization of the institution into 1984-1987, it was profiled on issues of local history. A high level of scientific ideas and content of the exhibition was improved graphical presentation and exhibits.
Since 2004, the Municipal Museum of History has readjusted permanent exhibition on local history. Were performed two salons: salon ethnography and ethnology urban scenes from everyday life at the end of the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century. We present some images from the Museum.
